A great time for walking, with the temperatures cool with blue-sky, sunny days. We did some great walks amongst beautiful autumnal chestnut forests, with carpets of marrons and leaves. Superb views after our climbs, over the hills and valleys surrounding Lamalou, Olargues and Mont Caroux. Quite a few hunters out - we came across a haul of three wild boar and a small deer. Plus many secretive mushroom hunters, as it’s the perfect time for finding ceps, girolles etc in the forests. The vines are starting to turn colour from golden yellows to deep reds, making a spectacular sight.
