Our favourite, and highly recommended, areas for walking in France are the Pyrénées and Languedoc-Roussillon. Both areas provide a challenging and thoroughly enjoyable walking trip. The terrain is suitable for many levels of fitness and abilities, with some peaks ranging up to 3000m and over, beautiful lakes and rivers and truly unspoiled natural environments.

Serious walkers can seek out unexplored valleys of the high mountains while those who prefer an easier pace will find a wide variety of woodland, vineyard and valley walks. Our trips are geared to those places that we know have great ‘off-the-beaten-path’ routes, reliably good weather, interesting history, excellent food and wine as well as minimum crowds.
